WHAT TO EXPECT

Some basics to know for Stone's Throw Family Weekend, 2021

Arrival: Families are asked to arrive from 8-9pm on Friday, Sept. 3

This is a high traffic weekend, of course, so please keep that in mind!

Families are asked to drive their own vehicles to Stone's Throw Family Weekend. Staff will greet you at the entrance to direct you to parking, help with your bags, and provide a COVID screening.

**Please provide results of a negative COVID test within 72 hours of arrival (regardless of vaccination status). Babies 12 months and younger do not need to be tested.**

Upon arrival Friday we will do a basic health screening and complete any remaining paperwork. We will help you to your cabins and will gather for a brief welcome, with some refreshments, and then let you settle in to your cabin for the evening. Please plan to stay on camp the full weekend--if there is something you have forgotten and need, we may be able to provide it for you! Activities will begin after breakfast on Saturday morning.

Distancing: Families are asked to serve as their own pods through the weekend, and to maintain appropriate distance from other participants outside of their pod (including staff and volunteers). Volunteers will respect the same boundaries.

Activities: From arrival on Friday evening to departure Monday morning, we provide a full schedule of fun, engaging activities for all ages. Most activities are things you can do together as a family; participation will always be encouraged, but not required.

Please know that we expect parental supervision at all times, unless an activity is specified as adult- or child-only.

Food: All meals are provided, from welcoming snack Friday evening through breakfast on Monday. Most meals include a delicious, filling staple, plus fruit and salad.

Dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated, but please let us know as soon as possible!

If you wish to bring your own snacks, you may do so, but we ask that you keep them in a sealable container. Camp Bernie is a nut-free environment.

Departure: Families will depart mid-morning on Monday, September 6th.

What else will Stone's Throw provide? In addition to meals, accommodations, and activities, Stone's Throw offers your family a chance to spend time together with no deadlines, homework, or chores to worry about! Listen to the wind in the trees, look at the stars, or play a board game, on your own or alongside other families who've had similar experiences.

We have a full challenge course, pond, arts and crafts, a critter shed (with critters!), and lots of spaces to just chill out.
